Micke Muster is described as an artist who was born in the country, but raised solely on rock ‘n’ roll music. These days, this talented entertainer is regarded as one of the best rock ‘n’ roll artist in Europe. Biography

Micke musterMicke Muster is from Svenstavik in Jämtland and he was born in 1962 on September 5. From the tender age of four, he started to test his skills by playing one of his neighbor’s piano. One day he sat as if he was riveted at the piano and then after only several hours everyone was stunned when they realized that he could actually play “boogie woogie.” In that moment, the neighbor’s home became completely silent until eventually everyone understood exactly what had taken place. After that little Micke seems to have stumbled upon his real purpose and he started to make use of all his chances to play. Now, we are not only talking about “twinkle twinkle little star”, but more to the point of rock ‘n’ roll selections from the very start.

When he was only eight years old his family relocated and they were now living in the Royal capital in Hagalund, Solna, which is located just on the outskirts of Stockholm. However, there was a problem shortly after this move because no piano was readily available. Nevertheless this did not stop Micke, because he soon found a simple solution for this dilemma. He strolled from one music store to the next all the while telling the clerks that his parents would be joining him in a minute and this was how he was able to steal several minutes playing the piano until the real story was uncovered.

Micke had been around eleven years of age when his mom showed him her own collection of records and this was how he made a connection with Elvis Presley the very first time. From the beginning he feel in love and started to imitate the words of rock songs, but songs such as “Love me tender” ended up being rejected soon after. Some years afterwards, as if by chance he decided to buy one of Jerry Lewis’s records, which was called “Live LP from Star Club in Hamburg.” At that time, this music was unquestionably the very best he had ever heard and quite possibly the best he would ever hear in his lifetime. Whilst his mother was going wild, Micke sat before the speakers and soak up every single note.

At this point, Micke Muster had some kind of contact with singer Jerry Lee Lewis and likewise with Linda Gail who was his sister. They became acquainted with each other for the very first time during 1985 following a live performance in Stockholm. At this time, Jerry Lee had been residing at Hotel Plaza and thousands of fans would gather inside the piano bar with the hope of maybe getting a peek at him and also hear him perform couple of his songs.

Following this performance Micke received an offer to record his first soundtrack for “Great Balls of fire” in 1989, which was Jerry Lee biographical film. However, he turned down this offer with the reasoning that in all modesty, he did not think he would do justice to the film and that Jerry was in good shape to do it himself.

When he was 13, Micke eventually received his long awaited piano. During the summer of 82, he was given a chance to open at Mats Rådberg’s musical nights held at Tyrol, Stockholm. From then on, for a couple of years he was consistently playing at various events and this caused his repertoire to get much bigger. Presently, he has over six hundred titles to his name.

During 1987, he called on Janne Carlsson who had a television show at the time known as “Circus”, which was aired throughout Stockholm. He was encouraged by Janne to join in the show and subsequently offers for television appearance begin to come his way.

In 1988, “Rockfire” was recorded by Micke and this was his very first record which was rapidly sold-out in the stores. In addition, there was a report in the Expressen and Börje Lundberg newspaper which gave the record four ratings out of five. At that time he had been performing throughout Sweden and appearing at numerous events including appearances on TV.

However, unfortunately for Micke the producer for this record was not necessarily serious and manages to mess up everything. A large number of angry and potential buyers did not receive their copy of this record and all of this transpired without Micke’s awareness.

During 1989, he participated in Country-SM and received a respectable second place as a result of a song which he took only a few minutes to write, called “When your memory comes around.”

In that same year, he also took part in a television show called Oldsberg för närvarande. The following summer in 1990, Micke had been offered to open a show for Little Richard, Chuck Berry and Fats Domino. At this show, he was given thirty minutes to perform and it end up being a little under sixty as he had the audience mesmerized in the rock ‘n’ roll music.

During the fall in that same year, he made an appearance at Loffe’s once again but the show was known as “Kulan” at that time. Throughout July of 1991, he was one of the major attractions performing at the rock gala which was organized for Finnish city in Jacobstad. In 1992, Micke appeared on another TV show called “Hallå Sommar-Sverige” and one year later he was also a guest artist on “Lönnå med gäster”. After this, he released a second album called “Hotel Waitress” in 1995 and this record was also embraced by his fans. In fact, the Expressen newspaper referred to it in a review as “the best party record at the moment”.

Then in November of 1996, the long awaited CD called “I’m on fire” was finally released. Next, June of 1997 saw Micke appearing as the main artist for a television show called “Solsta’ kväll”. The following year, he celebrated 10 years anniversary performing as a Rock ‘n’ roll musician.

Nowadays, he is still recognized as one of the best and fans continues to listen to his music through CDs, MP3s, videos and more.
